Musician, Producer, Engineer

Tad Jewett is a Memphis, TN based producer, musician, and audio engineer. 

He began his journey as a musician, studying jazz guitar in high school and performing in bands and as a sideman for solo artists in college. He discovered his passion for audio and recording technology after spending too much time with an old copy of Garageband in 10th grade.

His experience in the music and audio industries is broad, with time spent in the fields of private music education, live audio production, studio recording, and audio system design/integration.

Tad currently works as head engineer at Farmhouse Studio, a small commercial recording space located just outside the city of Memphis with a focus on providing excellent service and quality to local independent artists and bands. Along with his work at the studio, he continues to work with his own clients as recording engineer, producer, mixer, musician, or whatever the project calls for. 

His goal for each artist he has the honor to work with is that their voice would be heard and their story would be told through the recording they make. 

Tad holds a BAA in Music Production from Visible Music College in Memphis, TN. He a certified Avid Pro Tools User.

Music

Let me help you bring your songs to life with guitar, bass, and keys parts. I’m a competent multi-instrumentalist with more than 10 years of experience and 2 years of formal music education. I can read music (standard notation, chord charts, Nashville system) and play by ear. I am fully equipped to track parts remotely, or I can come to you.

Recording

Let me help you navigate the complicated world that is the recording studio. I can engineer tracking sessions and overdub sessions. I will make sure that the studio is an environment where you can be your most creative, not stressed. I have good relationships with a number of great Memphis studios if you need a recommendation!

Post-Production

Let me take your songs from a rough multitrack to a finished product ready for release. I am equipped with all the industry standard software and plugins to help you find a sound that you love. I can also master your project, or I can connect you with a reputable mastering engineer who I would trust with my own music. I am an Avid Certified Pro Tools User.
